WALNUT, Calif. – After a record-setting regular season, Arizona Track and Field will return to Mt. "The 2023 Pac-12 Championships will be a historic event," said Head Coach Fred Harvey. "This will be the first time the Pac-12 Championships will be held at a neutral site. Based upon our last two competitions and training, I feel very confident we are ready for the challenge of the best track and field in the nation."

The Wildcats are coming off a successful regular season finale at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson two weeks ago. The team saw a flurry of top finishes on senior night against a competitive field including a handful of Pac-12 teams. Talie Bonds and Alexa Porpaczy were the two Wildcats to win events against collegiate competitors on the day in the 100m hurdles and high jump. Jenica Bosko (long jump), Emma Gates (high jump), Tanner Kippes (pole vault), Zach Landa (shot put), and Meggie Karp (5000m) all finished runner-up in their events on the day as well. Additionally, Landa, Trayvion White-Austin (200m), and Isaac Davis (400m) all posted big personal bests in their events that moved them onto Arizona's all-time top 10 list. Landa's shot put mark was 19.92m (65-4.25), White-Austin clocked a time of 20.62 in the 200m, and Davis' 400m time was 46.13.

Away from Tucson, senior Jordan Geist got the opportunity to travel back to his home state of Pennsylvania and compete in the Penn Relays. Geist took full advantage of this chance to compete in front of his friends and family, winning the men's shot put championship with a meet record throw of 20.92m (68-7.75). He was named an individual event Penn Relays Athlete of the Meet and now holds the collegiate and high school meet records at the historical competition. He finished third in the hammer throw as well.

Entering the conference championship weekend, the Arizona Men find themselves ranked 25th in the USTFCCCA Rankings for the second straight week. The Arizona Women have six event groups ranked in the top 15 of the USTFCCCA's Event Squad Rankings. They're led by the high jump squad that ranks second in the nation for the fifth consecutive week.
