TUCSON, Ariz. — Five Arizona Baseball academic and athletic standouts earned selection to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Outfielder

TJ Nichols, and Anthony Susac, all earned the honors.
Bingham, a longtime regular in the Wildcats lineup, graduated last week with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies, Economy and Industry and boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.68. The San Diego native has also picked up 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll and Freshman All-America honors in his Wildcat career. Through 49 games this year, Bingham is hitting .360 with 59 runs scored, 28 extra-base hits, and 47 RBI.
Netz, a steadfast arm in the Arizona bullpen, earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Business Economics last week and carried an impressive 3.63 GPA during his career. The Californian was also a 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll honoree and opened his 2022 season with a Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week selection. Across a team-leading 28 appearances on the mound this year, Netz has logged a 2-0 record with a 3.33 ERA and 27 strikeouts.
Long, a crucial late-innings reliever, is currently pursuing a degree in Finance and boasts a 3.83 cumulative GPA. Like his fellow honorees, Long was a member of the 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll and has thrice been recognized by the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list committee. The Scottsdale native leads the team with four saves this season and has earned a pair of wins across 27 relief outings.
Nichols, a featured piece of the Arizona pitching staff, continues to work towards his degree Criminal Justice Studies as a junior with a 3.93 GPA. The right-hander was a 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll selection and earned Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference honors leading into this season. Nichols has made 15 appearances this year, seven of which have been starts, and has earned three wins to go along with his 47 strikeouts.
Susac, an oft-used swing man in the Wildcats arsenal of arms, is wrapping up his sophomore campaign and working towards a degree in Personal & Family Financial Planning while carrying a 3.64 GPA. He has made 11 appearances for Arizona this season, seven starts, and struck out 30 across 35 innings of work.
