TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona football wide receiver
Jacob Cowing enters his second season with the Wildcats and has been named to the Athlon Sports Third-Team All-American roster. Arizona also had eight players selected to Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 Teams.
Cowing was named to the Athlon Sports All-American Third Team after recording 1,034 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, including a touchdown grab in all 12 games played during his first season with Arizona. The senior from Maricopa averaged 12.2 yards per catch and 86.2 yards per game. Cowing's 85 catches marked the most by an Arizona wide out since Bobby Wade's 93-reception season in 2002 and he finished tied for second in the Pac-12 with seven touchdown grabs.
The Wildcats had eight players selected to the Athlon Sports All-Pac-12 teams. Cowing earned Second-Team Offense.
