TEMPE, Ariz. - Fifth-year senior Jonas Ziverts has garnered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award, as announced by the organization on Monday.

Each year the award honors the player who demonstrates many of the key tenets of Rafael Osuna's game including, but not limited to, sportsmanship, character, academic achievements and outstanding tennis accomplishments. Arizona Head Coach Clancy Shields was the recipient of the award for the 2009 season. 

The honor is one of many Ziverts has been awarded for the 2023 season. The Solna, Sweden, native was named the ITA Southwest Region Senior Player of the Year, the ITA Southwest Region Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award winner and Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He additionally earned spots on the 2023 All-Pac-12 First Team and CSC Academic All-District Team.

In his fifth and final year with the program, Ziverts accumulated an overall record of 22-10 in singles and 16-11 in doubles. He concludes his time as a Wildcat tied for fifth in all-time singles wins with 71 and is the third-leading doubles player in program history with 55 total wins. Ziverts additionally helped lead the team to back-to-back regular-season Pac-12 titles.
