Evan Manning Named Director of Basketball Operations

TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona men's basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd has announced that Evan Manning has joined the staff as the Director of Basketball Operations.  
 
Manning's duties will include assisting the staff with daily operations of the program at various levels. 
 
He joins the Wildcats after spending the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at Army West Point under head coach Jimmy Allen, where he aided in the development of Patriot League Rookie of the Year Ethan Roberts and First Team all-league honoree Jalen Rucker.  
 
Prior to Army, Manning was a graduate assistant for two seasons at Gonzaga where he was part of the Zags run to the 2021 national championship game and the 2022 Sweet 16. He aided in the development of All-Americans Drew Timme, Chet Holmgren, Corey Kispert, Joel Ayayi and Jalen Suggs during his time in Spokane. 
 
From 2017-20, he was the Director of Player Development at Wake Forest University.  
 
As a student-athlete, Manning was a walk-on for the men's basketball team at the University of Kansas from 2012-16 where he played a role in 116 wins, four Big 12 regular season titles, two Big 12 Conference Tournament championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances.  
 
A native of Lawrence, Kansas, Manning earned his undergraduate degree in Sports Management from the University of Kansas in 2016.
