CLERMONT, Fla. - After the conclusion of the 2024 USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship on Saturday, the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) announced the year end awards and Arizona was well represented. 

Margareta Vrablova was named CTCA National Freshman of the Year after finishing third overall in the triathlon and being the first true freshman to cross the finish line. She was previously named the CTCA West Region Freshman of the Year as well. 

The top seven overall finishers at the national championship also earned first team All-America status, and that includes Kelly Wetteland for her second place finish, Vrablova and Molly Lakustiak, who finished sixth. 

As a team, all seven of Arizona's triathletes finished in the top 27 and the the five athletes that scored points towards the team total all finished 13th or better, as Arizona captured its first national championship in triathlon and the 23rd team national championship for the athletic department.
