Tetairoa McMillan Named Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan has been named one of 11 Semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, as announced today by the Tallahassee Foundation. The Biletnikoff Award is in its 31st season and honors College Football's most outstanding FBS receiver regardless of position.
 
Tetairoa McMillan is second among wide receivers and third nationally in receiving yards (1,136). It is the first Biletnikoff Award semifinalists' appearance of his collegiate career.
 
McMillan is third in program history with 3,240-career receiving yards. He is third in program history with 25-career receiving touchdowns. McMillan is 111 yards away from tying the program record, held by Receivers Coach Bobby Wade (3,351).
 
The junior wide out from Waimanalo, Hawai'i is seven receiving touchdowns away from tying the program record held by Juron Criner (32).
 
The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. About The Biletnikoff Award
The name Biletnikoff is synonymous with the term receiver. Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, was a consensus All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Fred was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.
 
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot or inside receiver, wingback, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award.
