Tetairoa McMillan Earns Polynesian College Football Player of the Year

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan has been selected Polynesian College Football Player of the Year, announced today by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.
 
The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame College Player of the Year Award recognizes the most outstanding Polynesian college football player who epitomizes great ability and integrity.
 
After being named a finalist each of the last two seasons, McMillan has earned Polynesian College Football Player of the Year for the first time in his collegiate career. He led Power 4 programs in receiving yards (1,319), receiving yards per game (109.9), and finishing sixth in receptions (84). McMillan earned the Polynesian High School Player of the Year honor prior to joining the Wildcats as the highest ranked recruit in program history. 
 
McMillan becomes the first Wildcat player to earn this award in its 10-year history, adding his name to a prestigious award winner list of Marcus Mariota (2014), Ronnie Stanley (2015),  Sefo Liufao (2016), Hercules Mata'afa (2017), Tua Tagavailoa (2018),  Penei Sewell (2019),  Talanoa Hufanga and Zach Wilson (2020), Tuli Tuipulotu (2022), and Laiatu Latu (2023) and Tualia Tagovailoa (2023).
 
The junior from Waimanalo, Hawai'i, adds to his growing list of postseason accolades including:

This award is given annually since 2014 to the best Polynesian college football player. It was expanded in 2015 to recognize Polynesian professional football players and again in 2017 to recognize Polynesian high school football players.
 
McMillan rose to the top of a list of six finalists after a record-setting year, becoming Arizona's all-time receiving yards leader (3,423), third in program history in receiving touchdowns (26), and fourth in career receptions (213) to cap a ring-of-honor-worthy career.
 
The formal presentation of the Award will be held at the 2025 Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner (January 18, 2025) and the recipients will be recognized during the Polynesian Bowl (January 17, 2025).

The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame honors Polynesia's greatest players, coaches, and contributors.
