IRVINE, Calif. — The Arizona Wildcats (7-7, 2-1) fell on a final score of 4-1 in their series finale against the USC Trojans (4-11, 1-2) on Sunday afternoon at Great Park.Â
While they could not come away with the sweep, the Wildcats succeeding in winning their final series against the Trojans as Pac-12 foes.
Shortstop
Mason White plated Arizona's first and only run of the game in the top of the first inning, sending a two-out missile over the wall in right field for his conference-leading seventh home run of the season.
Starting pitcher
Cam Walty (3-1)Â was strong all game for Arizona, but ultimately took the loss. The right-hander worked 6.1 innings and limited the Trojans to just four runs while striking out four.
Reliever
Casey Hintz locked down the final 1.2 innings, holding USC without a hit and alllowing just one baserunner.
