Arizona Sends Eight to Men's NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Arizona is kicking off it's last week of post-season on Wednesday with the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. The competition will run from March 27-30 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Wildcat Gage DuBois will be representing the diving side in all three events: the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform. DuBois qualified for the championships at Zones two weeks ago after grabbing two podium finishes in the 1m (third) and platform (second) at Pac-12 Championships earlier this month. A red-shirt freshman, this will be the diver's first ever appearance at NCAA's.

Arizona is sending sophomores Haakon Naughton, Ralph Daleiden and Tommy Palmer as individual swimmers in addition to Ryan Hardy, Ryan Foote, Seth Miller and Jadan Nabor who will serve as relay alternates.

Naughton, set to compete in the 200 IM, 200 Fly and 100 Fly events, will be making his first appearance at nationals as well. The sophomore took third in the 200 Fly and seventh in the 100 Fly at conference championships- also swimming in Arizona's 'A' cut 800 Free Relay.

Sophomore and Luxembourg native Daleiden will be racing in the 50, 100 and 200 Free events for the second consecutive year at the championships. He is a 2x conference finalist, taking fifth in the 200 FR and sixth in the 100 FR. Daleiden also swam a leg in Arizona's 800 FR, 200 FR and 400 Medley relays that earned NCAA qualifying times.

Palmer, also making his second consecutive appearance at the championships, will be swimming the 50 FR, 100 FR and 100 Fly. Palmer took fourth in the 50 at Pac-12's and swam in the record-setting 200 Medley and 200 FR relays.

The Cats are currently seeded 10th in the 200 Medley relay- the same event that set a school record at Pac-12's just two weeks ago. They're seeded 13th in the 200 FR, 20th in the 400 Medley and 24th in the 400 FR relays.

Up First (All times MST)

The championships will kick off Wednesday, March 27 with the 200 Medley Relay at 3:00 p.m. Individual competition will begin Thursday with 200 IM and 50 FR preliminary rounds at 7:00 a.m. and 1m diving trials at noon.
