TUCSON - Five members of the Arizona squad have been honored with Pac-12 annual honors, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Helena Pueyo was named to the All-Pac-12 Team and All-Defensive Team. The All-Defensive Team honors are the second of her career. Pueyo is the conference's leader in steals per game, averaging 3.1 per contest. She is seventh in Pac-12 history and second in Arizona history in career steals with 294. She is averaging 11.0 points per game 3.9 rebounds per game in conference matchups this season. Pueyo is the only Wildcat to start in every game of the 2023-24 season.
Jada Williams tabbed All-Freshman Team accolades. She leads Arizona's freshmen in points per game at 9.5 and is second on the team in assists this season with 2.4 per game. Williams leads the squad in free throw percentage, hitting 84.9% of her shots from the charity stripe.Â
Esmery Martinez garnered All-Pac-12 Team Honorable Mention and All-Defensive Honorable Honorable Mention. She was additionally named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention for the 2022-23 season. Martinez is averaging 11.2 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game for the year and is fifth in the conference in steals per game this year with 1.8.Â
Breya Cunningham and Skylar Jones each received All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention accolades. Cunningham is fourth in the Pac-12 in blocks per game, averaging 1.8, and scores 7.5 points per game. She has started in 28 of Arizona's 30 games. Jones is averaging 6.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Jones has made starts in 11 of the Wildcats' 18 conference games.Â
