TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats, the undisputed Pac-12 Conference champions, officially heard their name called during the NCAA Selection Show on Monday morning and earned the No. 13 national seed.
Arizona will host the Tucson NCAA Regional at Hi Corbett Field this weekend, welcoming the Dallas Baptist Patriots, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Grand Canyon Antelopes to the Old Pueblo for the opening round of postseason play.
The Wildcats hosting resume was highlighted by a pair of Pac-12 Championships — regular season and tournament — the No. 1 ranked non-conference strength of schedule in the nation, 20 conference victories, and 18 combined Quad 1 and Quad 2 wins.
With Monday's NCAA Tournament selection, courtesy of the Pac-12's auto bid, the Wildcats locked in their 43rd NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.Â
Arizona opens the Tucson NCAA Regional with a matchup against Grand Canyon on Friday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m. MST. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and broadcast live on Wildcats Radio 1290 AM.
