Colton Smith and No. 15
Jay Friend have been selected to represent Arizona Men's Tennis in the main draw at the 2024 ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa. The draw is set to begin Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Wildcats were two of 48 automatic qualifiers for the singles and doubles main draw. In singles competition, Smith is seeded fifth and is set to take on No. 42 Kenta Miyoshi of Illinois at 9:00 a.m. MST. Friend, seeded [9-16], will compete against Anthony Wright of North Carolina at 9:30 a.m. MST.
The duo, ranked No. 6 in the preseason polls, is seeded [5-8] in doubles and will face off against Alex Okonkwo and Reiya Komagata of Tulsa at 2:00 p.m. MST.
At last year's All-Americans, Smith and Friend both made an impression at the championships, with Smith winning the consolation draw and Friend making it through to the main draw's quarterfinals.
