"Texas Tech is where we will contest the Big 12 Championships the last week of February," said Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Fred Harvey. "This weekend, we will have a full team excluding the hurdlers competing, and this will give us a great trial run for the championships. The expectation is to continue our build towards being a top program in February."
The Wildcats last competed at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. The team totaled four podium finishers at the competition with
Emma Gates finishing runner-up in the high jump with an indoor personal best clearance.
Jenica Bosko (long jump),
Paris Mikinski (high jump), and
Taylen Wise (60m hurdles) all finished third in their respective events as well.
Last time the team was in Lubbock for the Corky Classic, the Wildcats posted strong results.
