Second-Half Surge Falls Short as Arizona Drops 3–2 Battle at BYU

PROVO, Utah — Arizona women's soccer fell 3–2 to BYU on Thursday night at South Field despite a second-half rally powered by Jessica Bedolla and Lily Boydstun.

After trailing 2–0 at halftime, the Wildcats (7-8-0, 2-5-0 Big 12) stormed back behind a pair of quick strikes. Bedolla put Arizona on the board in the 51st minute with her fourth goal of the season, finishing a cross from Boydstun with help from Narissa Fults. Just eight minutes later, Boydstun buried her third goal of the year off assists from Fults and freshman Kyleigh Johnson to even the match at 2–2.

BYU (8-4-2, 3-3-1) regained the lead in the 76th minute on Ellie Walbruch's third goal of the night to complete her hat trick and seal the win for the Cougars.

Fults assisted on both Arizona goals, bringing her season total to three. Goalkeeper Olivia Ramey recorded four saves, while the Wildcats finished with 11 shots, including five on target.

Arizona returns home this Sunday to face No. 12 Texas Tech on ESPNU at noon.
