Wildcats Fall to No. 14 Texas Tech at Home

TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona women's soccer dropped a 2–0 decision to nationally ranked Texas Tech on Sunday afternoon  at Mulcahy Stadium. The Wildcats matched the Red Raiders with seven total shots and generated six corner kicks but couldn't find the back of the net.

Texas Tech (12-1-2, 6-0-2 Big 12) struck twice in the opening half. Raleigh Greason opened the scoring in the 10th minute off an assist from Peyton Parsons, and Taylor Zdrojewski doubled the advantage in the 34th minute with help from Macy Blackburn and Emilie McCartney. Arizona (7-9-0, 2-6-0 Big 12) limited the Red Raiders to just four second-half shots and held 49 percent of possession.

Junior forward Narissa Fults paced the Wildcats' attack with four shots, one on target, while Sami BaytoshTrinity Dorsey, and Lily Boydstun also tested the Texas Tech goalkeeper. Whitney Reinhardt earned the start in the midfield and went the full 90 minutes, helping Arizona control tempo and transition through the center third. Senior goalkeeper Olivia Ramey finished with two saves between the posts.

Arizona will stay at home to host TCU Thursday night at 7 p.m. for a Pink Out match.
