TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Volleyball program has received a state-of-the-art Taraflex® court, made possible through a generous donation from the Davis family. Arizona will debut the new Cole and Jeannie Davis Court in McKale Center on October 25 against Arizona State.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Davis family for their extraordinary support," Desireé Reed-Francois, R. Ken Coit Vice President and Director of Athletics, said. "Their commitment to our volleyball program ensures our student-athletes have access to the very best resources. This court is a game-changer for our volleyball program and a testament to the impact that passionate supporters can make."
The new court will be installed on top of Lute and Bobbi Olson Court for use during volleyball matches starting with Arizona's match against Arizona State on Oct. 25. The upgrade provides Arizona student-athletes with a world-class competition surface, enhancing both player experience and long-term program development.
"This gift from the Davis family means the world to our team," Head Coach Charita Stubbs said. "Training and competing on a Taraflex® court elevates every aspect of what we do. Our players are excited, our staff is energized, and our program is better because of the Davis family's generosity. We cannot thank them enough for their commitment to our program."
The Davis family has long supported Arizona Athletics and expressed pride in enhancing the student-athlete experience. Previous gifts from the Davis family to Arizona Athletics include the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center, renovations of McKale Center, and construction of the Richard Jefferson Gymnasium among other projects.
"We are honored to make this contribution to Arizona Athletics and elevate the Arizona Volleyball program with their new Taraflex® court," said Cole Davis on behalf of the Davis family. "We are passionate about helping student-athletes and this new court provides Arizona Volleyball with a competitive playing surface to compete at the highest level."
The new court aligns with Arizona Athletics' ongoing investment in facility enhancements and student-athlete experience.
