TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Football running back
Quincy Craig has been selected as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday morning.
Craig, a junior in his first season with the Wildcats, picked up his first career Big 12 weekly honor. It is the fifth Big 12 weekly award earned by the Wildcats this season.
The California native scored two touchdowns on just five touches for the Wildcats in last weekend's win over Kansas, including the game-winning score with 39 seconds left in the game. It was the third multi-score game of Craig's career, and his first with Arizona. Craig tallied 60 all-purpose yards against Kansas, 42 of which came on rushes on the Wildcats final two plays as they drove to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.
Craig is one of 11 Big 12 players to score both a rushing and receiving touchdown in a game this year, and one of three Wildcats to have achieved the feat. His touchdown reception late in the second quarter was the 67th passing touchdown of quarterback
Noah Fifita's career, tying him for the program record.
Craig and the Wildcats are back in action on the road this Saturday, Nov. 15 against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The game will kick off at 10:00 a.m. MST with a national television broadcast on FS1.
