TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 14 Men's Tennis (9-1) extends their win streak to four after a victorious match at home Friday afternoon with a 4-0 sweep over No. 7 San Diego (8-2).
The Cats kicked off their top-15 showdown with doubles play at Robson Tennis Center, facing off against the No. 1 team in the country, Stian Klaassen and Oliver Tarvet. Finishing first and giving the Cats the lead they needed,
Jay Friend and
Eric Padgham dominated court two with a 6-1 win over Savriyan Danilov and Iiro Vasa. Clinching the doubles points for the Cats was

Up 1-0, Arizona had singles play on deck. The Cats lined up in their usual fashion, with No. 3 Smith holding down court one and No. 8 Friend next door on two. While he was up 4-1, Smith finished first on court one via medical retirement from Tarvet. Giving Arizona the 3-0 lead was sophomore
Alexander Rozin with a swift straight-set 6-1, 6-2 win over Neo Niedner. With just one more win to go, Friend was the clincher for the Cats after rolling his second set for a 7-6(2), 6-0 win over No. 44 Danilov.
