TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Softball's
Devyn Netz was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. She is the first Wildcat to win a conference pitcher of the week honor since 2021 when Alyssa Denham and Mariah Lopez earned the award.

Netz led the Wildcats in the circle with a 2-0 record, picking up the pair of wins in both of Arizona's games against then-No. 20 Stanford at the Hillenbrand Invitational. The redshirt senior struck out 14 batters during the weekend and held opponents to a .151 batting average across 15.1 innings pitched.

The Sierra Madre, California native pitched a complete game in Arizona's first win over the Cardinal, striking out seven and allowing just one run to score. In Arizona's run-rule win over Stanford to close out the Hillenbrand Invitational, Netz pitched the final 3.0 innings in relief and struck out five Cardinal.

Additionally, Netz hit two home runs and drove in four runs to help Arizona run-rule Stanford in the final game of the weekend. Netz also recorded two hits in Arizona's extra-inning game against No. 1 Texas. Â

Netz and the Wildcats will hit the road for the first time this season for a midweek at LMU on Wednesday, February 26 before heading to the Judi Garman Classic at Cal State Fullerton beginning Friday, February 28. Â
