PROVO, Utah – The No. 9 Wildcats won the second game of the series against BYU, 15-6, on Friday night. Â

Arizona scored 15 runs on 17 hits and
Tayler Biehl led the offense with four hits (4-for-5).
Dakota Kennedy and
Miranda Stoddard both had three hits each while
Sydney Stewart and
Logan Cole drove in three runs each.

The Wildcats opened the game with one run in the top of the first.
Kaiah Altmeyer drove in Kennedy with an RBI fielder's choice. BYU scored one in the second on an RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.

Arizona scored three in the third to take a 4-1 lead.
Regan Shockey came home on a wild pitch to score the first run of the inning. Stewart hit a two-run homer – her 10th of the season – to round out the inning.

The Cougars plated one in the third on a fielder's choice to make it a 4-2 game.

In the fourth, Arizona scored four runs to take an 8-2 lead over BYU. Kennedy took advantage of a wild pitch to score the first run of the inning. Stewart drove in the second run with a bases-loaded walk and Stoddard drove in the final pair of runs with a single up the middle.

BYU scored three in the fourth to cut into Arizona's lead. The first run scored on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch. The Cougars hit back-to-back RBI singles to plate the other two runs.

The Cats added one more run in the fifth for a 9-5 lead. Kennedy singled through the right side – her third hit of the game – to score Biehl from second base.

Biehl drove in Arizona's 10th run of the game in the top of the sixth. Biehl tripled to drive in Stoddard to give the Cats a five-run lead over the Cougars. In the bottom of the sixth, BYU hit a solo home run to make it 10-6.

In the top of the seventh, Arizona plated one run on an RBI single from Altmeyer for a 15-6 lead.
Devyn Netz retired the side to secure the victory for the Wildcats.

In the circle, Netz picked up the win to improve to 14-3 on the season after entering in the fifth inning. Stoddard started the game and went two innings, giving up two unearned runs on four hits.
Brooke Mannon,
Ryan Maddox, and
Saya Swain pitched in relief before Netz entered in the fifth.
