TUCSON, Ariz. — Just one week after the Cats took home silver in the Big 12 Championships, Arizona''s diving squad is headed back to Federal Way, Washington to compete in the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.
Zones are an opportunity for the Cats to qualify for the NCAA Championships in late March. The Zone E Championship will begin Monday, March 10 and run through Wednesday, March 12 at Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
All six Arizona divers (Gage DuBois, Brooke Earley, Zara Ayazi, Colin, Agor, Maria Colombo and Theo Hrach) have earned a spot to represent the Wildcats at Diving Zones.
On the women's side, divers who finish in the top eight in the 1m and 3m and top nine for the platform competition will automatically qualify for the Women's NCAA Championships. For the men, divers in the top six on 1m/3m and top seven on platform will automatically qualify for the Men's NCAA Championships.
Both championships will be held in Federal Way. The women's NCAA Championships will run March 19-22 and the men's will follow on March 26-29.
