PHOENIX, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (20-8) dropped a midweek matchup to the Grand Canyon Antelopes (18-10) on a final score of 11-5 on Tuesday night at GCU Ballpark.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and reclaimed a 3-2 lead in the top of the fourth, but were unable to hang on down the stretch.

Garen Caulfield and center fielder
Aaron Walton, the top two hitters in the Wildcats lineup, combined to go 5-for-8 while reaching base seven times.
Freshman starting pitcher
Mason Russell, making his first career start, worked two innings for Arizona and allowed two runs on two hits.
