Men's Golf Selected to Amherst NCAA Regional in Virgina

Arizona Men's Golf heard its name called in Wednesday's NCAA Men's Golf Selection Show on Golf Channel and was selected to the Amherst Regional. Arizona was selected as the No. 6 seed in the Amherst Regional as part of the 13-team field at Poplar Grove Golf Club hosted by Liberty. Poplar Grove Golf Club was the final course ever designed by the legendary Sam Snead.

Last year, the Wildcats punched their ticket to the NCAA Championship after finishing fourth in the West Lafayette Regional. The Cats last won an NCAA Regional three seasons ago, beating out Pepperdine by five strokes at the NCAA Bryan Regional at Texas A&M University.

Format for NCAA Golf Regionals is 54 holes played over three days with the five lowest scoring teams advancing to the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, beginning on Friday, May 23.
