TUCSON, Ariz. — Lauren Flaum will return for her third season as Director of Basketball Operations with Arizona Women's Basketball, bringing more than a decade of experience in program operations and administrative support at the Division I level.
Flaum has played a pivotal role in the Wildcats' transition into the Big 12 Conference. In her second season with Arizona, the team finished 10-8 in league play and 19-14 overall, marking the seventh consecutive season the program recorded at least 18 wins. The 2023-24 campaign featured a signature road victory over No. 16 West Virginia and a postseason appearance in the WBIT.
In her first year in Tucson, Flaum helped the Wildcats reach the NCAA Tournament for the 11th time in program history, contributing to an 18-win season that extended the team's streak of 18+ victories to six straight years.
Prior to her time at Arizona, Flaum served three seasons in the same role at Tulane, where she directed all day-to-day operations for the women's basketball program. During her tenure, Tulane posted a 39-19 overall record and made back-to-back appearances in the WNIT.
Before joining Tulane, Flaum spent seven seasons on staff at Toledo, managing operations including budgeting, travel, recruiting logistics, video coordination, and alumni engagement. She also served as a liaison for the program's fan club and compliance activities.
Flaum began her career at her alma mater, Eastern Michigan University, where she served as a graduate assistant video coordinator for both the men's and women's basketball programs from 2009 to 2012.
She holds a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's in sport management from Eastern Michigan, along with a certificate in Higher Education Compliance from the University of Toledo College of Law.
