Softball Places Four on CSC Academic All-District Team

TUCSON, Ariz. – Tayler Biehl, Dakota Kennedy, Devyn Netz, and Miranda Stoddard earned CSC Academic All-District honors, the association announced on Tuesday. The four honorees are tied for the highest amount in Arizona Softball's history. Kennedy, Netz, and Stoddard are now eligible to be named Academic All-America.
 
Biehl, a nutritional sciences major with a 4.00 GPA, is receiving her second straight Academic All-District honor. The junior shortstop finished the season with 142 assists which led Arizona and ranked second in the Big 12. Offensively, she recorded two doubles, two triples, drove in 16 runs, and was second on the team with nine stolen bases during the season.
 
Kennedy, a criminal justice studies major, has a 4.00 GPA and is earning Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. Kennedy was named first-team NFCA All-West Region, first-team All-Big 12, and earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Defensive team. The junior left fielder finished the season with a team-leading .444 batting average and ranked second on Arizona with a .539 on-base percentage, 10 doubles, and seven stolen bases. Defensively, Kennedy recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in left field for the second straight season.
 
Netz, who graduated with a degree in physiology and medical sciences, maintained a 3.546 GPA to receive her second Academic All-District selection. This season, the two-way player led Arizona with 68 RBI, 22 victories, and 118 strikeouts and was second on the team with 19 home runs. Netz was named the Big 12 Player of the Year and earned NFCA All-West first team, All-Big 12 first team, and Big 12 All-Defensive honors during her fifth year.
 
Stoddard, who pursued a master's in public policy with a 3.50 GPA, is receiving her first Academic All-District selection. The pitcher and first baseman earned second-team NFCA All-West Region and first-team All-Big 12 honors after hitting .348 with three doubles, two triples, 15 home runs, and 46 RBI. In the circle, Stoddard went 15-0 and led the Wildcats with a 1.73 ERA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 17, 2025.
