OMAHA, Neb. — The Arizona Wildcats (44-21) season came to an end on Sunday afternoon at the College World Series in Omaha. The Cats dropped an 8-3 decision to the Louisville Cardinals (41-23) at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Garen Caulfield all logged multiple hits in what was likely the final game of their Wildcat careers. Caulfield wraps up his Arizona career in second place on the Wildcats games played and at-bats leaderboards.
Freshman starting pitcher
Smith Bailey turned in one of his strongest performances of an impressive debut campaign, working six inning and allowing just two hits while striking out four. He wraps up his freshman season with a sub-4.00 ERA and 80 strikeouts.
In leading the Wildcats to the 2025 College World Series in his fourth season, Arizona head coach
Chip Hale became the 21st person in NCAA history to make it to Omaha as both a player and as a coach.
