Wildcats Debut at No. 24 in D1Baseball Rankings

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona baseball team will commence the 2026 campaign ranked No. 24 in the nation in the D1Baseball Preseason Top-25 rankings, the outlet announced Monday.

Widely regarded as the default rankings for college baseball, it is the second consecutive year that Arizona has earned a spot in D1Baseball's Preseason Rankings, as they entered the 2025 campaign ranked No. 21. 

Arizona enters its fifth season under the direction of head coach Chip Hale. The Wildcats are coming off their most successful season yet under Hale, as they won the Big 12 Tournament Championship and reached the 2025 College World Series. 

The Wildcats return 19 players from the 2025 team and have added a plethora of talent through freshman and transfer additions to compliment the group of returning players, as they prepare to open the 2026 campaign against Stanford on Friday, Feb. 13 at the 2026 College Baseball Series in Surprise, Arizona.
