TUCSON, Ariz. – Two Arizona Swim and Dive athletes win Big 12 weekly honors after standout performances at the Big 12 West Championships.
Julia Wozniak, a senior, wins her first Big 12 honors this year after dominant swims last weekend against Arizona State, Kansas, Utah, and Brigham Young. Wozniak had a personal best and NCAA qualifying time in the 100 Free (48.36). Wozniak was also a part of two winning relay teams, the 200-free relay and the 400-medley relay.
Luke Hernandez, a freshman, earns his third Big 12 honors after three strong sessions. Hernandez placed first in the 1-meter (332.45) and 3-meter (369.30). Hernandez was also part of the winning team diving event. Hernandez continues to impress and improve as the season goes on.
The Cats are back at home to face ASU for senior night, February 6th at 1 p.m. MST.
