TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona baseball players Tony Pluta and Owen Kramkowski each garnered preseason All-American recognition from Perfect Game, the organization announced Wednesday.
Pluta was selected to the First Team, while Kramkowski was tabbed to the Third Team.
Pluta is coming off a campaign in which he was named the NCBWA Stopper of the Year, and garnered All-American honors from numerous organizations. He appeared in 30 games on the mound throughout the 2025 season, compiling an ERA of 1.46 across 37 innings of work. The relief pitcher recorded 14 saves, while holding opposing hitters to a batting average of .219 and tallying 34 strikeouts to just seven walks.
Kramkowski is also coming off a stellar campaign in which he garnered All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors. The 6-foot-3, right-handed pitcher started 18 games for the Wildcats, compiling a record of 9-6. He posted an ERA of 5.48 across 92 innings of work, recording 90 strikeouts to just 18 walks.
Arizona is set to begin the 2026 campaign on Friday, Feb. 13 against Stanford in Surprise, Arizona as part of the 2026 College Baseball Series.
