TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Athletics today announced a series of game day enhancements to improve the fan experience at Casino Del Sol Stadium, beginning with the 2026 football season. These investments are informed by community feedback and the athletic department's recently completed feasibility study.Â
"We value our fans and appreciate the passion and support they bring, which are part of what makes Arizona Athletics so special for our student-athletes and the entire university community," R. Ken Coit Director of Athletics Desireé Reed-Francois said. "The feasibility study gave us clear insight into what matters most, and we are acting decisively on those priorities."Â
Fan input consistently identified sound as a top concern, leading to plans for a new, state-of-the-art sound system. Arizona will also modernize its video boards, which are 16 years old and rely on components that are no longer available, making replacement essential. Finally, as Arizona hosts more night games, upgraded lighting will play an important role in enhancing the overall stadium atmosphere. Â
Arizona Football will also relocate its home bench from the east sideline to the west sideline, placing the visiting team directly in front of the Arizona student section. This reinforces Casino Del Sol Stadium's home-field advantage by channeling the crowd's energy more directly into the game day environment.Â
"We want to create the best home field advantage in the Big 12 at Casino Del Sol Stadium, and these improvements work together to fuel the energy we need from Wildcat fans," Arizona Football Head Coach Brent Brennan said. "The video boards, lighting, sound, and sideline alignment all contribute to a stronger game day experience and make Casino Del Sol Stadium a tougher place to play for visiting teams."Â
The enhancements announced today represent the first phase of improvements identified through the feasibility study. Arizona Athletics will continue to evaluate additional opportunities as planning progresses. Updates related to fan experience enhancements at McKale Center at ALKEME Arena will be shared in the coming weeks.Â
