Arizona To Play UCLA in Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas Opening Night

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Wednesday that Arizona will take on UCLA at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 2, 2026 – the opening night of the 2026-27 men's basketball season.

The game is part of the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas event that will see Gonzaga take on Purdue on the men's side and then Arizona women's basketball team playing Stanford and USC playing UNLV.

All four games will be nationally televised across TNT Sports' networks and platforms, with additional broadcast details and game times announced at a later date. Tickets will go on sale in late April. Fans can visit HOFSeries.com for official hotel information, pre-sale details, and event updates.

"Opening the season against UCLA as part of the Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas event will be a great way to open the season," Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd said. "The history between the two programs speaks for itself and has produced so many memorable games and moments over the years. We look forward to a fun atmosphere at T-Mobile Arena against Coach Cronin and the Bruins."

Arizona has won seven of the last nine meetings against UCLA, including a 69-65 win at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles earlier this season. The Wildcats and Bruins have met seven previous times in Las Vegas, all as part of the Pac-12 Tournament, and Arizona holds a 5-2 advantage in those meetings.

The Hall of Fame Series, owned and operated by Position Sports, is a collection of high-profile non-conference basketball events featuring top collegiate programs competing in premier venues across the United States and internationally. The series annually showcases marquee men's and women's matchups while celebrating the legacy and impact of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on the game.

Previous Hall of Fame Series events have been held in Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Antonio, and Toronto, featuring many of the nation's top-ranked programs and drawing national television audiences each season.

The series will return to Las Vegas for a 2027 event at Allegiant Stadium on November 12, 2027, marking the first-ever basketball game at the renowned stadium. The historic event will feature two high-profile matchups between elite men's basketball programs: Arizona vs. Duke and Indiana vs. Kansas.
