TEMPE, Ariz.- No. 34 Arizona women's tennis opens a four-match road stretch Saturday with a rivalry matchup against Arizona State. First serve is set for 12 p.m. MST at Whiteman Tennis Center.
The Wildcats enter the matchup with momentum after winning three straight matches against Top 30 opponents during their most recent homestand in Tucson. Arizona looks to carry that momentum into Tempe as conference play continues.
The last meeting between the two programs came down to the final court, with Arizona earning a 4-3 victory over the Sun Devils. The win marked the Wildcats' first over Arizona State under head coach Ryan Stotland.
Arizona State enters the weekend ranked No. 13 in the ITA team rankings and features one ranked singles player in Emilija Tverijonaite, who is currently No. 19 nationally. The Sun Devils do not have any ranked doubles teams.
