ATLANTA, Georgia – The Men's Swim and Dive is heading to the NCAA Men's Championships at McAuley Aquatic Center. Ten athletes have qualified in their respective individual and relay events.
Tomas Lukminas will be competing in the 50/100/200 free during the competition. Lukminas had the opportunity to compete at the European Aquatics Championships in the 100 and 200 free this past December. Lukminas earned a personal-best time in the 50 free at the Big 12 Championships of 19.32, and his best times in the 100 and 200 free are 41.33 and 1:31.88.
Alexandre Desangles will be competing in the 100 and 200 back events. As a freshman, Desangles earned the bronze medal in both events at the Big 12 Championships only a couple of weeks ago. His best times are 45.89 in the 100 back and 1:39.11 in the 200 back.
Haakon Naughton is heading to the NCAA Championships ready to compete in the 100 and 200 fly. Naughton earned personal-best times in both events during the Big 12 Championships, along with two silver medals in each (44.69 100 fly and 1:39.22 200 fly).
Gage DuBois will be competing in the 1-meter and platform diving events. DuBois qualified for these events during the NCAA Zones competition two weeks ago. At the Big 12 Championships, DuBois was the platform champion. Last season, DuBois was an NCAA finalist in the 1-meter event, earning Second Team All-American honors.
Luke Hernandez will be competing in all three diving events at the NCAA Men's Championships. Hernandez has had a strong freshman season on the boards. During the Big 12 Championships, Hernandez was the 3-meter champion, earning silver in the 1-meter and platform events.
Bo Bridges is heading to the NCAA Championships to compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. During NCAA Zones, Bridges earned a spot in the finals with a combined score of 705.10 on the 3-meter to qualify for his first NCAA Championships.
