TUCSON, Ariz. — Decorated Arizona Football defensive back,
Dalton Johnson, has been selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fifth round (150th overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. He joins former Wildcat teammate
Treydan Stukes, who was selected in the second round, in Las Vegas.
Johnson, a 2025 First Team All-Big 12 honoree and a member of the 2025 AP All-Big 12 First Team, is the third member of the Arizona secondary off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft. With his selection, the Wildcats have now has three-plus players drafted in three consecutive NFL Drafts since the 1998–2000 stretch that saw 12 Arizona players hear their names called.

This also marks the first time in program history that three Arizona defensive backs have been selected in a single NFL Draft.
In five season with the Wildcats, Johnson logged time in 50 games and racked up 286 tackles (152 solo), 13 tackles for loss, three sacks, five interceptions, 10 pass breakups, and seven forced fumbles. Three times he logged 80+ tackles in a season, capped by his career-high 97 stops as a redshirt senior in 2025.
He finished his Arizona career as one of just 26 players to log 275-plus tackles during their career. In his final two years with the Wildcats he led the team in total tackles, solo tackles, and assisted tackles.
Johnson was a crucial piece of the Arizona secondary that led one of the biggest defensive turnarounds in the nation last year. When the dust settled, the Wildcats pass defense ranked top 10 in the nation in pass defense, interceptions, pass efficiency defense, and turnover margin.
Across five seasons he helped author two of the best campaigns in program history; Johnson was a major contributor to the 2023 Wildcats team that won 10 games and earned a berth in the Alamo Bowl and the 2025 squad that won nine games and journeyed to the Holiday Bowl earlier this year.
