TUCSON, Ariz. — Michael Dansby became the fourth member of the Arizona Wildcats secondary to earn a selection in the 2026 NFL Draft; he was taken by the Seattle Seahawks with the 255th overall pick in the seventh round.
Dansby played in 12 games with the Wildcats last season and was a major contributor to one of the nation's best pass defenses. Arizona now boasts four selections in back-to-back NFL Drafts for the first time since 2007–08.

In his lone season with the Wildcats in 2025, Dansby saw time in a dozen games while tallying 19 total tackles, two interceptions, and 10 pass breakups. He also recorded one half of a tackle for loss and one fumble recovery.

Dalton Johnson — led one of the best pass defenses in the nation last season. As a unit, the group combined to post numbers that ranked top 10 nationally in pass defense, interceptions, pass efficiency defense, and turnover margin.
Prior to joining the Wildcats, Dansby spent three seasons at San Jose State where he notched 44 games (30 starts) and recorded 89 total tackles, three tackles for loss, seven interceptions, and 25 pass breakups.
