OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – No. 20 Arizona fell, 2-1, to No. 25 Arizona State in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Softball Tournament on Thursday night.

The Wildcats totaled five hits and
Regan Shockey led the team with three hits.
Grace Jenkins scored Arizona's run with a home run.

After a scoreless first inning, Arizona State scored one run in the top of the second. The run came across on an RBI single to make it a 1-0 game.

Jenkins tied the game in the fourth inning with a solo home run – her 12th homer of the season. The Cats had chances with runners in scoring position the rest of the game but couldn't break through. Â

In the top of the seventh, ASU hit a solo home run to take the lead. Arizona had the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the inning but couldn't complete the comeback.

Jalen Adams pitched a complete game to pick up the loss and fall to 20-9 on the season. She allowed just two runs to score on seven hits and struck out seven batters.
