TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona quarterback
Noah Fifita has been selected by the media to the 2026 Preseason All-Big 12 team, the conference announced on Monday.
Fifita, the nation's active career passing touchdowns leader, will lead the Wildcats offense again in 2026 following his All-Big 12 campaign as a redshirt junior in 2025. He was the first Arizona quarterback to earn first team all-conference honors in 50 years.
Across 40 games with Arizona spanning four seasons, Fifita has thrown for 9,183 yards and a school record 73 touchdowns while adding four touchdowns rushing. While leading the Wildcats to nine wins and a berth in the Holiday Bowl last season, Fifita tallied 3,228 yards and a program single-season record 29 touchdowns.
Fifita, who enters his final season of eligibility in 2026, is one of just five senior or redshirt senior quarterbacks in the FBS who spent their entire career at the same school.
Arizona opens their season on Saturday, Sept. 5 at home against Northern Arizona with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. MST.Â
Fifita and six of his teammates, along with head coach
Brent Brennan, will represent the Wildcats at Big 12 Football Media Day this Wednesday, July 8 in Frisco, Texas.
