TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Football quarterback Noah Fifita has been named to the watch list for the 90th Maxwell Award, the Maxwell Football Club announced on Monday.

The Maxwell Award has presented annually to the college player of the year since 1937. This year's watch list in comprised of 81 players, 15 of which play in the Big 12 Conference.

Fifita is entering his redshirt senior campaign with Arizona this season, and comes into 2026 as the nation's active career leader in touchdown passes. Over the course of four years with the Wildcats, he has thrown for 9,183 yards and 73 touchdowns while adding 206 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

His success last year led to his selection to the 2025 First Team All-Big 12 squad and the 2026 Preseason All-Big 12 team. Fifita's loyalty to Arizona has resulted in him being one of just five senior or redshirt senior quarterbacks in FBS who have spent their entire collegiate career at the same school.

Semifinalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced November 10, 2026, while the three finalists for the Maxwell Award will be unveiled November 24, 2026. The winner of the 90^th Maxwell Award will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 10, 2026.
