2018-19: Held the fourth fastest Wildcat time in the 200 free with 1:47.34... Held the third fastest Wildcat time in the 500 free with 4:41.78 which was fast enough to qualify for an NCAA B cut... Held the second fastest Wildcat time in the 1000 free with 9:46.83... Held the third fastest Wildcat time in the 1650 free with 16:11.88 which was fast enough to qualify for an NCAA B cut... Held the fourth fastest Wildcat time in the 200 back with 2:02.17... Held the third fastest Wildcat time in the 400 IM with 4:17.44... Part of the 800 Free Relay team with a time of 6:59.47 which was fast enough to qualify for an NCAA A cut... Finished in the top-5 15 times in her events.
Prior to Arizona: Earned three NCAA B cuts during her sophomore season, and 11 freshman year…Holds the second-fastest 400 free time in Arkansas school history with 4:40.92…Competed at NCAA Championships in 2017…SEC All-Freshman Team in 2017…2017 Fall Academic Honor Roll and Winter 2017 SEC Honor Roll…2018 CSCAA Scholar All-America Honorable Mention…2018 Spring Academic Champion…Member of the Mexican National Team at the CAC games in 2014 and 2018…Apart of the World Swimming Championships in 2017.
Personal: Born Allyson Ayumi Macias Alba on January 1, 1997 in Aguascalientes, Mexico to Manuel Macias Medrano and Laura Alba Gonzalez…Has a brother, Manuel, and a sister, Laura…Swam at the University of Arkansas for two years before transferring to Arizona…Is pursuing a degree in Business…Enjoys watching movies and hanging out with friends in her free time…Chose Arizona over Texas A&M, NC State, Auburn, Ohio State, and University of South Carolina because of the “swimming program and school of business.”
