TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat men's and women's track and field program had 18 student-athletes earn Pac-12 All-Academic honors. It was announced by the conference on Monday.
On the men's side, junior Edgar Rivera-Morales earned Pac-12 All-Academic second-team honors. He is majoring in industrial engineering and has an accumulative GPA of 3.45. Sophomore Bozidar Antunovic, junior James Eichberger and sophomore Lawi Lalang earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention accolades.
For the women, three Wildcats earned Pac-12 All-Academic first-team honors. Senior Hanna Henson earned a GPA of 4.00 while majoring in family studies and human development. Sophomore Erin Menefee also had a 4.00 GPA; she is majoring in nutritional sciences. Sophomore Alex Weatherly, a physiology major, also has a 4.00 GPA. Three Wildcats earned Pac-12 All-Academic second-team distinctions. Junior Alyssa Hasslen earned a 3.83 GPA as family studies and human development major. Sophomore Elvin Kibet, a public health major, earned a 3.79 GPA. Sophomore Tamara Pridgett earned a 3.86 GPA as a communication major. Junior Brigetta Barrett, junior Jen Bergman, senior Taylor Bush, junior Taylor Freeman, senior Liana Fuentes, junior Melanie McGrath, sophomore Germe Poston and sophomore Shapri Romero earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors.
To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA and be significant contributor to the team.
