LAST YEAR'S NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
The men traveled north to Federal Way, Wash. with a maximum roster. The Wildcats placed fourth overall and produced 15 All-Americans. Four individuals won championships for Arizona, as senior Cory Chitwood defended his two-time title in the 200 back to become only the third men's swimmer in Wildcat history to win three or more national titles. Additionally, Grado became the first Arizona diver to win a national title after capturing the platform championship. Senior Austen Thompson also won a title in the 400 IM. Cordes not only won his first NCAA title in the 100 breast as a freshman, but set an American record with his time of 51.32. The men's 200 medley relay team also set an American record in their championship win behind sophomores Mitchell Friedemann and Giles Smith, senior Adam Small and Cordes.
