The calendar has turned over and the month of August has arrived. For Arizona football fans, that means the days of counting down the months to the 2008 season are over. Finally, kickoff against Idaho in Arizona Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 30 is only days and weeks away. In the meantime, the Arizona Football team will begin preparations for the upcoming season with its 2008 Fall Camp, beginning on Monday, Aug. 4 and continuing through Saturday, Aug. 23.
The Wildcats plan to host many of their practices in the morning at the Rincon Vista Complex to better accommodate student-athlete schedules and avoid the monsoon thunderstorms that are always tricky to forecast in Southern Arizona.
Included in the Fall Camp practice schedule will be a venture to Fort Huachuca for a three-day getaway Aug. 14-16 after summer school courses end. The team will return to Tucson for one final week of camp, concluding with Fan Appreciation Day at Arizona Stadium on August 23.
