Cameron Ming completed his first season on the Wildcats coaching staff in March 2020. Ming previously played baseball at Arizona from 2015-17 under head coach Andy Lopez and current Cats head coach Jay Johnson.
He was a member of the Wildcats 2016 squad that advanced all the way to the 2016 College World Series championship series. During Arizona's time in Omaha, Ming made six appearances on the mound, a team-high. During his playing career at Arizona, Ming made 69 appearances (16 starts) and posted a 3.29 ERA with 129 strikeouts and a .255 opponent batting average.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career, he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 14th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft. Ming played three seasons of professional baseball in the Orioles organization, reaching as high as Double-A before returning to Arizona to complete his education and begin his coaching career.
