Dusty Rutledge joined the Arizona football program as football analyst for the 2015 season, before becoming the Director of High School Relations, Camps and Clinics in 2016. 

In his position, Rutledge works closely with day-to-day operational aspects of the program, including practice organization and the Rich Rodriguez Football Camps. Previously, he worked for Barwis Methods. He also served on head coach Rich Rodriguez’s staff at Michigan for the 2008-10 seasons in an external relations role.

Rutledge served as the video coordinator at West Virginia from 2001-07. He joined the Mountaineers’ staff after spending four seasons (1997-2000) as a special assistant to Indiana Cam Cameron.

Prior to assisting Cameron, Rutledge was the defensive line coach and special teams coordinator under Rodriguez for three seasons at Glenville State (1994-96). He assisted Rodriguez during the seasons when the Pioneers earned three WVIAC titles. Rutledge also coached the offensive line at Fairmont State College (1988-93).

Originally from Rockford, Ohio, Rutledge graduated from Fairmont State with a bachelor’s degree in 1991. During three of his years at Fairmont, he played football and remains one of college football’s last player-coaches. 

Rutledge and his wife, the former Jennifer King, have two daughters, Elizabeth and Maegan.
