2022: Started all 12 games on the defensive line… Made a career-high 39 tackles (18 solo, 21 assists)… Posted 4.5 tackles for loss (-10 yards)… Recorded season-high five tackles (3x) against Mississippi State (2 solo, 3 assists), at California (9/24), and against Washington State (11/19)… Recorded season-high 1.5 tackles for loss against Mississippi State… Made 102 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in 38 games over four seasons with the Wildcats.
2021: Appeared in 10 games with seven starts along the Arizona defensive line...Selected to All-Pac-12 Second Team roster...Totaled 33 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and a team-leading five sacks...Finished the year ranked tied for 8th in the Pac-12 in sacks...Posted a career performance in Arizona's win over California, tying a career-high with five tackles and setting new high-water marks in TFL (3) and sacks (2.5)...Major contributor to an Arizona defensive unit that ranked second in the Pac-12 with an average of 5.8 tackles for loss per game...Logged multiple tackles in every game in which he appeared and notched five or more stop three times...Opened the season with 13 tackles, 3.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks in the first three weeks of play against BYU, San Diego State, and Northern Arizona...Picked up six quarterback hurries, third most on the team...Three of his QB hurries came on the road in week 11 versus Washington State.
2020: Played in all five games with four starts along the defensive line…Logged 17 total tackles, seven solo and 10 assisted…Notched a career-high five tackles in Nov. 14 game versus USC…Also picked up multiple tackles Nov. 21 at Washington (4), Nov. 28 at UCLA (4), and Dec. 5 versus Colorado (3).
2019: Appeared in 11 games on the defensive line as a true freshman...Totaled 13 tackles, including 11 solo stops...Made his collegiate debut in home opener versus Northern Arizona (Sept. 7)...Notched his first career tackle versus Texas Tech (Sept. 14) with a solo stop...Totaled two solo tackles against Washington (Oct. 12)...Picked up two solo tackles at Oregon (Nov. 16)...Totaled a career-high four tackles in season finale at ASU (Nov.30), picking up two solo tackles and two assists.
High School: Attended Murrieta Mesa High School, where he earned three varsity letters in football…As a senior in 2018, earned all-conference and all-city honors…Across three seasons and 27 games, logged 180 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks…During senior season in 2018, played in 11 games and notched a career-best 90 tackles.
Personal: Son of Casey and Sherelle Barrs…Has one brother, Keelan, and two sisters, Kayla and Karlye…Majoring in General Studies - Sports & Society...Chose Arizona because, “They all felt like family to me.”
