Lonnie "LB" Brown

Lonnie "LB" Brown enters his first season as Associate Director of Strength & Conditioning at Arizona. Brown previously worked at Alabama State, where he oversaw the Strength and Conditioning department. 

He oversaw the daily strength & conditioning regimens for the Hornets’ football program while also overseeing the other 17 sports at Alabama State University, which consisted of nearly 400 student-athletes. 

Brown came to Alabama State following a two-year stint at Alabama A&M as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. While at Alabama A&M, Brown designed, implemented and monitored strength and conditioning programs for multiple Olympic sport programs.

A 2016 graduate of the University of Alabama, Brown served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at his alma mater before heading to Alabama A&M. At Alabama, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education-Exercise and Sports Science. Brown specialized in defensive lineman skills and technique, contributing to Alabama’s 2015 National Championship. The Webb, Alabama native also worked with Women’s Basketball and Baseball during his time in Tuscaloosa. Brown applied trigger point therapy with student athletes and accomplished physical testing, body composition, anaerobic and aerobic tests.

He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is CPR certified through the American Heart Association.
