Ortiz is in his first year as a graduate assistant with the Wildcats in 2024-2025 after spending four years as an undergraduate manager.

In his role as a graduate assistant, he deals with basketball operations, game day operations in addition to some oversight of the undergraduate managers.

Ortiz earned his undergraduate degree in Business Management with a minor in Spanish. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Marketing at Arizona.

A native of Long Beach, Calif., Ortiz is the son Tito Ortiz, the long-time head coach at Cerritos College,
