Biography
Senior Season (2017-18)
Tallied 156 assists in his senior year for 459 in his career, entering the top 10 of the UA career assists list… Picked up 110 wins in his career, which tied him with Matt Muehlebach (1988-91) and Kaleb Tarczewski (2013-16) as the second all-time winningest player in program history trailing only teammate Dusan Ristic and his 115 victories… Graduates from the program helping guide Arizona to three regular season conference championships and three Pac-12 Tournament titles… Upped his season marks across the board, averaging 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game as a senior… Finished a second consecutive season in top three of the Pac-12 in assist-to-turnover ratio with his 2.5 mark this season (third in conference)… Also ranked in the top three in the conference in all games in assists (seventh – 4.6), steals (tied for eighth – 1.4) and three-point field goal percentage (eighth - .410)… Led UA in assists in 23 games as a senior after leading team in assists in 32 games in his previous three seasons… Season high of 19 points at Utah (1-4-18), which was one shy of his career high… Recorded eight games of six or more assists in 2017-18 that included 17 assists in his first two games of the year… Buried eight timely three-pointers during the Pac-12 Tournament coupled with timely defensive performances against UCLA’s Aaron Holiday and USC’s Jordan McLaughlin who scored a total of 27 points on combined 10 of 31 (.323) shooting from the field.
Junior Season (2016-17)
Appeared in 31 games, starting ten, after missing six games with a high-ankle sprain suffered in Nov. 30 win over Texas Southern… Led the Pac-12 with a 3.09 assist-to-turnover ratio (in all games), which ranked 13th in the NCAA… Scored career-high 20 points at Washington State (Feb. 16, 2017) on four-of-five shooting from deep to go along with his new career high of four steals in the game… Repeated his strong shooting numbers behind the arc in Pac-12 play from sophomore season, identical number of makes on attempts of 18 of 37 (.486), good for fourth in the conference… Matched his career best of 11 assists in win over Northern Colorado (Nov. 21, 2017), giving him the first double-double of his career with 15 points and 11 assists… Played best four-game stretch of his career at Washington schools and versus the Los Angeles schools by averaging 13.0 points and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 56.0 percent from the field… Distribution reached highest efficiency in six games prior to the NCAA tournament as he tallied 23 assists to just four turnovers (5.75 assist-to-turnover ratio)… Capped junior season with 1.2 steals per game, which were the most of any of his first three seasons of his career and 15th in the conference… Set a career-best mark of seven defensive rebounds versus Colorado (March 9, 2017) in quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament… Increased scoring, rebounding and assists averages in each of his first three seasons in Tucson.
Sophomore Season (2015-16)
Led the Pac-12 in three-point field goal percentage in league play at 48.6 percent… Opened the season with 44 assists to just 16 turnovers (2.75 assist-to-turnover ratio) in non-conference play… Scored career-high 16 points on 62.5 percent shooting from the field in Arizona’s win over UCLA (2-12-2016)… Tallied ten games of five or more assists, including career-best 11 assists to just one turnover in win versus Washington (1-14-2016)… Other high scoring performance came against Boise State (11-19-2015) when he scored 14 points while connecting on five of his six shots from the field… Posted notable performance in win versus Washington State with 13 points and 7 assists in game following his 11-assist performance against the Huskies… Despite 5-feet-11-inch height, blocked seven shots, which was fifth-most among Pac-12 players 6-feet-3-inches and shorter.
Freshman Season (2014-15)
Played in 34 games, averaging 2.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 9.6 minutes … Recorded a 2.61 assist-to-turnover ratio for the season … Shot 45.3 percent from the floor and 39.1 percent from three-point territory … Led Arizona in assists twice on the season … Scored a season-high 11 points in the home win over USC in February and passed out a season-high seven assists in the win over Gardner-Webb in December.Â
