HIGH SCHOOL: Cate Reese became Arizona's first McDonald's All-American in school history and was also named an honorable mention All-American by the Naismith Trophy while being named the 17-6A District MVP. Reese wass tabbed as a five-star recruit and the fourth-best post player in the country by ESPN. Coming in as the 14th-best prospect in the country, Reese will be the highest ranked prospect Arizona women's basketball has ever signed. During her senior season season, she averaged 30.6 points and 15.3 rebounds per game for Cypress Woods High school. The Cypress, Texas native has been named TABC 6A All-State three times during her high school career. During her junior year year, the 6'3" forward scored 22.3 points per game and grabbed 13.2 rebounds per game. Not only was Reese a standout on the basketball court, but she was also a force on the volleyball court.
PERSONAL: The daughter of William and Cheryl Reese ... Has two older brothers, Billy and Danny and has two older sisters, Karen and Ali ... Plans to study Business at the University of Arizona.
